Memorization Rehearsals
(Optional)
Memorization of the scripts before the Drama Seminar Week is NOT optional. Everyone must have their script memorized before the Drama Week.
However, we do plan to offer four optional Group Memorization Rehearsals before Drama Seminar Week for registered participants.
These are not mandatory but available for students who want extra preparation.
November 23
Group Read Through
(Optional)
2-5pm
Upper Room Christian Fellowship
Students are welcome to keep their scripts nearby for reference, but we encourage them to deliver their lines from memory rather than reading directly from the page. Please ensure students have familiarized themselves thoroughly with their lines prior to the meeting.
December 9
Look-say Memorization Rehearsal
(Optional)
2-5pm
Upper Room Christian Fellowship
For this second memorization rehearsal, students should arrive off-book. Scripts are permitted solely as a safety net for reference; however, actors are expected to deliver their lines from memory and actively engage with scene partners rather than relying on the page.
December 31
Full Memorization Rehearsal
(Optional)
12-3pm
Upper Room Christian Fellowship
At this stage, students are expected to be fully off-book—scripts are no longer permitted in hand. Actors should know their speaking lines and deliver them independently. Minor prompting is completely normal and welcomed as we continue to polish, but the safety net of the script is now removed.
January 14
Rapid-fire Memorization Rehearsal
(Optional)
2-5pm
Upper Room Christian Fellowship
Students are able to speak their lines in rapid response to the other character and cues.
